Shipper and Receiver

Description

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented shipper/receiver to join our team. Material handling will be your main focus (but not limited too) and will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Load, unload, move, stack, and arrange products and materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand.
2. Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, report discrepancies.
3. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse. This includes emptying recycling bins, garbage bins and removing unused wooden/plastic skids from production area.
4. Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies and to report all unsafe and unhealthy working conditions
5. Assist with cycle counts, restocking, and labeling as required.
6. Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.
7. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
8. Maintains shipping/receiving departments supplies inventory via supervisor.
9. Load and offload trucks of material.
10. Gathering finished goods from production, shrink wrapping skids getting ready to ship.
11. Arranges supplies to be distributed to production areas where required.
12. Makes sure all power trucks are charged and available for use.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Education:
· Secondary degree and/or any relevant courses.
· Tow motor license or willingness to be trained.
· Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience is a plus.
· Ability to lift up to [50 lbs] and stand, bend, or move for extended periods.
· Familiarity with warehouse practices and methods.
· Basic math and computer skills (experience with inventory software is a plus).

Work Environment:
· Warehouse setting with varying temperatures.
· Use of standard warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners).
· Protective gear required (e.g., gloves, steel-toed boots).
