Solimar Programmer
Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Solimar Lead is responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining automated document workflows within the Solimar Systems suite. This role focuses on optimizing digital print and e-delivery processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and reliability across all output channels. Working closely with IT, operations, and production teams, the Lead ensures smooth end-to-end workflow execution and continuous improvement.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Experience
· Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Solimar Systems (Rubika, SOLfusion, Print Director, or ReadyPDF).
· Experience in digital printing, print stream re-engineering, or transactional print/mail environments.
Skills
Technical Skills
· Strong understanding of Solimar modules and rules-based workflow automation.
· Working knowledge of print file formats (AFP, PCL, PostScript, PDF).
· Familiarity with Windows server environments and file management.
· Understanding of digital print technologies and color management principles.
· Exposure to print MIS or output management systems is an asset (no coding required).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Adhere to Health and Safety Policy and to report all unsafe and unhealthy work conditions
2. To produce quality work effectively and efficiently.
3. Adhere to the AIIM Security Policy and report any and all violations to the Security Policy.
4. Design, configure, test, and maintain Solimar workflows using Rubika, SOLfusion, SOLiTrack, ReadyPDF, and SPDE to support document composition and print production.
5. Re-engineer and optimize print streams (AFP, PDF, PostScript, PCL) for high-quality print and digital output.
6. Manage workflow automation within Solimar tools — minimizing manual touchpoints and improving throughput.
7. Ensure document integrity, security, and compliance in high-volume, data-driven production environments.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve Solimar-related production issues to maintain uptime and performance.
9. Collaborate with IT and production to integrate Solimar workflows with existing systems and processes (no custom coding required).
10. Train production and services staff on Solimar tools, best practices, and workflow optimization.
11. Document workflows, configuration details, and standard operating procedures.
12. Evaluate and recommend Solimar updates and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
