Description

SUMMARY
Reporting to the VP of Finance, the incumbent is responsible to lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting & finance department. We are seeking someone who can manage and mentor the accounting team, independently close the month end, prepare financial reports and is keen to improve & automate processes. The right candidate will have the opportunity to move to the senior leadership role in the next 2 years.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Independently close the month end including all adjusting entries on a timely basis.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reporting, board reporting deck and all supporting schedules.
  • Manage & mentor the accounting team on a regular basis. Manage the performance appraisal system of the team.
  • Prepare accounting policy & procedures and ensure compliance by all team members.
  • Administer the accounting system (Quickbooks) & financial reporting system (Datarails) and ensure proper controls are in place.
  • Acts as audit liaison for the company.
  • Continuously identify, improve & automate business processes.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts in coordination with the VP of Finance.
  • Manage treasury and government remittance’s function with the Sr. Accountant.

Skills Requirement
  • Advance MS Office skill is a must.
  • Working experience of ERP implementation or process automation.
  • Strong organizational skills and leadership skills. Exceptional ability to work with a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Excellent financial analytical skills. Strong attention for detail.
  • Exceptional intrapersonal & communication skills.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Working experience of cloud-based finance and accounting tools is preferred.

Educational Background
  • Designated accountant is a requirement – CPA, CA, CMA, CGA or ACCA. However, part qualified accountants who are working towards the designation will also be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related.
  • Minimum 5 years of related professional experience.
