JOB SUMMARY:
AIIM is seeking a Business Development Executive – Retail to support the continued growth of our retail and enterprise solutions division.

This is a growth-focused role responsible for developing new business opportunities and expanding enterprise relationships across Canada. The successful candidate will work closely with retail and multi-location organizations to identify operational challenges, develop scalable solutions, and drive measurable business outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strategic relationships, and brings a consultative, client-first mindset to every interaction.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
  • Identify and develop new enterprise retail opportunities across Canada
  • Industry knowledge in Retail, CPG, Financial Services, Marketing Technology, Agency (Experiential, Shopper Marketing, Environmental Design)
  • Build relationships with senior leaders in marketing, store operations, real estate, IT, loyalty and procurement
  • Lead consultative discovery conversations focused on operational, execution, and customer communication challenges
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of net-new business opportunities
  • Drive full-cycle business development including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, and closing
  • Partner internally to develop tailored, solution-based client strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams including production, project management, fulfillment, and client services to ensure successful execution
  • Maintain visibility into pipeline activity, forecasts, and sales performance metrics
  • Stay informed on retail trends, customer engagement strategies, and evolving enterprise communication technologies

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or enterprise sales
  • Demonstrated success generating net-new business opportunities and growing strategic accounts
  • Experience selling into retail, franchise, or multi-location organizations is considered an asset
  • Strong consultative selling, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as HubSpot is preferred
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
